Steve and I enjoyed our 4 night stay. The cottage is so cozy and refreshing from the hotels we endured. Esther greeted us and it was so nice to meet her and eat her delicious Ginger Snap cookies. We had the best time in this little Amish town. So much to do and see - we can't wait to come back. Everything from the most comfortable bed, being able to make breakfast daily, the bathroom is perfect. We didn't want to leave.
Thank you - we're glad you enjoyed your stay!
Best place to stay! She is so sweet! The blueberry muffins were amazing!
The guesthouse itself has the best views and listening to the sounds of nature. Clean and very comfortable!
She has the best milk and yogurt also! Cant wait to come back another time and bring my kids to experience it! The trampoline was fun also!
Thank you for your review! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with Esther & Ed.
My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights last October. We can't say enough how wonderful this guest house is! Esther was so welcoming, greeting us like friends. She had a freshly baked apple cake waiting for us on the counter. The house was spotlessly clean, with lovely furnishings. The full kitchen allowed us to cook some of our meals, and Esther's breakfast offerings were generous. She has the best homemade yogurt! The farmyard is lovely. There are many interesting places nearby, such as dairies, quilt shops, markets, flower farms, and covered bridges. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom furnished with soft, fluffy towels.. Most of all, Esther made us feel totally at home. We are already planning our next visit to Esther's guest house!

Once my husband and I arrived at the extremely beautiful farm and quaint guesthouse, we were immediately greeted by the ever-so-friendly Esther. With relaxing music and a gracious smile, she gave us a quick tour of the immaculate house instantly making us feel at home. She was absolutely wonderful and reminded us that if we needed anything to just reach out to her. We were also invited to check out the farm if we'd like.
The large, full-sized kitchen and living room were visible when you first walked in the front door. Off to the left were the bedroom and bathroom and to the right a door leading to the back porch. From there, we could see Esther's bright green garden (we visited in October), a picnic area with a table and small trampoline, more rolling farmland and a bunch of chickens.
Their charming farm is well-maintained with a few horses and animals, beautiful red barns and located close to many main roads and tourist spots we found.
This guesthouse is truly a home away from home and we definitely look forward to returning again soon!! Thank you for your warm hospitality Esther!!!

“We walked into a charming cottage welcomed by beautiful music, lighting and Esther right next door! It was very relaxing and the accommodations were excellent. Her cookies are yummy! It was immaculate which is a blessing. Staying in their cottage was so much better than any local hotel. Delightful.” – Gabrielle from Prospect Park, PA · February 2017
“Esther is fantastic, her place is fantastic, if you want to feel like home outside of home, this is the place and host for you. Beautiful barn, well located. Snacks, juice, drinks provided. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks Esther!” – Sebastian from Greenville, SC · January 2017
“Our time in Lancaster County was made so much more pleasurable in that we had a nice clean homey place to return to each evening. Although we arrived Thanksgiving Day, Esther took the time that evening to greet us with a hug and smile. The fresh baked cookies she had for us didn’t last long. Each morning we trotted off to a nearby destination and our 5 yr old was captivated by every horse and buggy he saw. We couldn’t have asked for a better location; it seemed every place we wanted to visit was just down the road. We want to come back soon.” – Jeff from Kearneysville, WV · November 2016
“We loved every moment of our stay with Esther & Ed! Their home was comfy, cozy, clean, and filled with tons of country charm and love! Esther was incredibly welcoming and sweet. She made us feel at home from our very first contact to our wonderful greeting in her driveway. Our 3 year son was instantly at home with the trucks, books, and homemade chocolate chip cookies left for us upon our arrival. We knew this was going to be a great family trip, but staying in this home, made it even better than we could have imagined. The farm was beautiful in its country setting and the sights and sounds of animals mesmerized our little one. We cannot wait to come back again.” – Nina from Bridgeton, NJ · November 2016
“Ed’s and Esther’s place is a true gem. It is located on a beautiful, well kept farm with few cows and horses and with two huge red barns. The house is very cozy, spotless and warm. Esther made sure we were settled in, and had everything we needed. She left delicious homemade cookies for us in the kitchen as well as milk and juice in the fridge. The whole family is very friendly, caring and generous. The location is great because it is off the main tourist roads. You truly feel at peace on the farm watching the horses play and the a occasional buggy go by in the distance, but Lancaster City is just 25 minutes away. There are many Amish craft and food shops very close to the house. This was our our favorite trip in a very long time!” – Sergey, 2016
